This bill payment partnership was launched on Wednesday at TNM head offices in Blantyre.

The partnership will accord MASM customers, who are on TNM network and Mpamba users the opportunity to be paying their monthly medical premiums “any time, any day and anywhere”, according to TNM Head of Marketing Webster Mbekeani.

He said with this innovation it may not be necessary to spend hours on queue waiting to settle monthly subscriptions.

“Paying bills through Mpamba presents convenience in that one can pay anywhere, any time at the user’s convenience.

“It is also cost effective as it knocks out any transportation costs that may have been accrued when traveling to pay the bills. The Mpamba platform as a mode of payment grants the user of the service utmost safety. Electronic transaction is safer than cash transaction,” said Mbekeani.

He also claimed that their mobile money platform–Mpamba– is a secure, trusted and safest mode of payment.

Mbekeani said Mpamba, as a wallet, offers the user the luxury of using the facility as and when that user feels appropriate.

On his part, MASM Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Ngomwa said the agreement between his company and TNM gives MASM customers a chance to transact any day of the week and at their most convenient time.

“Mpamba has added another payment outlet to our customer. The importance of this outlet is that it can be accessed any day, any time. This means it has eased our job as a company,” said Ngomwa.

TNM customers are also able to pay electricity and water bills, GoTV subscription among others through Mpamba.
