TNM Mpamba agent win K2m in ‘Kuiphula’ promotion

A 36 year Blantyre Mpamba agent Chifundo Palani has emerged the grand winner of K2 million in TNM’s Kuiphula ndi Mpamba promotion.

The three-month promotion was launched on April 1 this year and ended on July 31 with lady lucky smiling on Palani.

Kuiphula ndi Mpamba promotion was for TNM Mpamba agents only.

Palani was very excited when the news was broke to him that he emerged the grand winner of the promotion

“I don’t have an immediate plan on how the money will be used but I should say thank to TNM for recognizing our role as Mpamba agents, “said Palani.

Speaking during the final draw TNM Head of Marketing Webster Mbekeani said the promotion received an overwhelming response from the Mpamba agents.

“The response was encouraging and we also believe that the promotion has contributed to the growth of Mpamba,” said Mbekeani.

He said they came up with promotion to reward Mpamba agents for their contribution to the growth of Mpamba mobile money service.

He said throughout the promotion, TNM saw a steady growth in mobile money usage.

TNM set aside over K16 million for the promotion and draws were being conducted fortnightly.

To qualify for the fortnight prizes TNM Mpamba agents were required to carry out a minimum of 20 transactions either cashing in or cashing out.

In previous fortnight draws, three Mpamba agents (from three regions), received K200, 000 each; three others walked away with K100, 000 each while 15 others got K50, 000 each.

TNM also conducted two draws of Tikolore and Bible Trivia promotions. In Tikolore promotion TNM slashed out four tricycles to four winners and Zomba based Kingsley Potani won K1.5 million in Bible Trivia promotion.
