The victim lost the use of his right arm and hand, and was later amputated.

Speaking during the cheque presentation, TNM’s Senior Manager Consumer services Madalitso Jonazi said TNM felt obliged to support Mofolo to purchase the artificial limbs.

.“As a truly Malawian company we felt obliged to assist Mofolo with access to artificial limbs. Although he survived the attack, it left him without his arm and leg, and the story touched our hearts considering that the victim is the bread winner for the family,” said Jonazi.

Receiving the donation on behalf of Mofolo, the Women of Faith, a bible reading group thanked TNM for coming to Mofolo’s rescue.

“Following his amputation, we felt obliged to do something to help him and we are glad that TNM are first to respond to our appeal,” said Hellen Kashoti Dawe, chairperson of the grouping.

Dawe said the artificial limbs will help Mofolo attend to some chores to help fend for his family.

“As Women of Faith group, we are overwhelmed by the response from TNM. We did not expect it, and may God bless them,” she said.
