Transformation Alliance pressure group court international political groupings: Kunkuyu in Ghana

Interim chairman for Transformation Alliance (TA) Moses Kunkuyu is currently in Accra, Ghana courting that country’s political groupings.

Kunkuyu:Leading political pressure group TA

TA’s spokesperson, Leonard Chimbanga confirmed the trip but could not divulge more details.

“It’s true he has flown out. I saw him off but let me give details of the trip at an opportune time,” said Chimbanga while keeping a tight lid on who Kunkuyu is meeting on his globe-trotting.

But Nyasa Times understands the TA leader has lined up strategic networking meetings with political movements and other stakeholders including youth groups in Ghana and South Africa.

Kunkuyu has travelled to Ghana twice in the recent past and his activity on Facebook reveals he is in friendship with a number of youthful ministers and politicians from countries across the continent including Ghana, Botswana and Mozambique.

While in Ghana he is expected to address a meeting in Accra on request from some political grouping in that country and also to establish working relationships.

Ghana and Gambia recently held elections that saw the incumbent presidents losing the presidential mantle to opposition candidates while South Africa is one of the countries with the most politically active youths.

TA was established in August this year with a strong push towards complete overhaul of Malawi’s political system.

The movement believes the current systems breeds ‘presidential thieves’ while cursing the majority poor to abject poverty. The grouping also preaches the grooming of young leaders for sustainable Malawi.

Theres no such a world of Kumkuyus as the current world is evolving around burrying selfish people, Kunkuyu, Mpasu and mainly Atupele are selfish, these are destroying Malawi. Kunkuyu started with dpp, joined Joyce Banda, then mukuti TA, Mpasu ndiuja anapezeka kumandayu kupanga economics akuti and this Atupele is useless, practicing very stupid selfish politics zokomera a bambo ake anationengera economy aja. Let these cowards die with the dull professor to free Malawi, they are walking devils.

But be careful Mr Kunkuyu, make sure you learn good things only not terrorising lessons. Of course we have political differences but respect man’s life. We are not comfortable with some of the countries you are visiting such as Ghana, Mozambique, kaya only God knows.

You are missing the point Mr. If he failed you, what are YOU doing not to fail the rest of us. Many people were once rejected including Bingu…..at his age, this young man has been an accomplished politician both as a parliametarian in Blantyre where he set standards difficult to match and as a minister where he has been the longest serving in the recent past. He fears his God and yes he is now a session Clerk in a church within our synod of CCAP. He is entrepreneur. Honestly, personal issues aside, this boy has been a genuine inspiration. I… Read more »

This is starting like a joke, but I surely see God at the centre of all this.
It is important that we embrace the spirit of truth n all that we do as far as it concerns our country.
We need redemption as a country and we need people who can put their heads on the rail
May God bless every movement that comes at such a time as this when we need a voice
Be blessed

If taken seriously, I see this grouping as a threat to the old guards in malawi politics.
If the likes of Chilima, Kunkuyu and Atupele work together, they can instill a certain spirit among the youth of malawi.
Lets pray for our country

Take away Atupele. He has deserted UDF. A leader of a party never leave the party tog join the govetnment. He.has moved to PP then DDP this DDP is using him and weakening The party UDF a party which brought democracy and gave Muntharika a chance to rule Malawi. A man is not fit for president.
