Turmoil in Bullets camp: Busile quits at chair of Trustees
James Busile has resigned from his post as Nyasa Big Bullets Board of Trustees Chairperson following the resolution of the supporters and the trustees over the weekend in Lilongwe to hold Executive Committee elections on March 18 and also scrap off Treasurer and General Secretary’s positions.
“I think it is time I took a bow to pave way for others,” said Busile.
He has been in his post for five years.
Busile said his resignation is like retirement and that he made the decision to go long time ago and it was the trustees General Secretary, Jim Kalua, who persuaded him to stay put.
“I have been thinking about retirering long time ago. . It is time for others to serve the team,” he said.
Busiles said he is not quitting because of the current confusion and appealed to all stakeholders to reach am amicabale solution for the sake of the club.
Former Bullets Supporters Committee treasurer, Bruce Tambwali, has disclosed that some sections of the Bullets supporters are seeking legal action to stop the March 18 elections.
Former Bullets chairperson, Kondie Msungama, who is also interested in challenging the incumbent Chairperson, Noel Lipipa, said the constitution has been raped and he would not contest “ a rubber stamp” polls.
