Two Malawi cops connected to criminal gang nabbed: Face charges of murder, thefts

Malawi Police Service in Phalombe have arrested two of their own on allegations that they belonged a criminal gang that has been terrorizing the district.

Police spokesman James Kadadzera:  Could not immediately give details

The arrest of Mike Haiya and Kennedy Msukwa follows the arrest of James Duncan who was nabbed following the killing of a Mozambican who was robbed of K800 000.

The gang also robbed with violence K3.2 million from Patrick Likhutu from Mulanje on Monday this week prompting the police to effect the arrests on Tuesday.

Police spokesperson James Kadadzera asked for more time before commenting.

Duncan, 39 comes from Phalombe and his accomplice Francis Mitawa also comes from Phalombe.

The police officers; Haiya, 36 hails from Ntcheu while Msukwa hails from Chitipa.

Thats why a Kadedzera akulephera kuika ndemanga, they are related to his bosses these thugs. Police service? mmmm bodza ili, bola yakale yomwe ija, Police Force. Ngati pali munthu wina opanda chilungamo ndi Kadadzerayu, amaika anthu oipa kumbuyo poika ndemanga zake mxiiii!!!!!

This is not surprizing, that is what the Malawi Police knows better to do……….they cant find Njauju killers, Albino killers etc but they can kill, rob, and be corrupt big time!

The challenge with MPS is their recruitment process. There are no proper ground checks on candidates. Human resource experts can advise MPS on use of other means of selection processes such as cognitive tests, personality tests, graphology, use of assessment centres, work samples , biobata and astrology apart from physical checks and oral interviews. The other challenge is that recruitment in MPS is mostly based on relationships. Plutocrat people and senior police officers bring in daughters and sons with rotten characters.
