UDF reject PP’s ‘fallacy’: Deputy youth director has not resigned

United Democratic Front (UDF)  has dismissed claims by Peoples Party (PP) that its deputy director of youth in the party’s stronghold  of eastern region  has defected.

PP on Sunday paraded Yusuf Sitola during a public rally organized by party acting president Uladi Mussa at Mangochi boma, saying Sitola has has resigned from the UDF.

But UDF spokesman Ken Ndanga told Nyasa Times that the party’s  deputy director of youth in the eastern region has not resigned and remains in the position.

“The claims by the Peoples Party that our Deputy Regional Youth Director for the Eastern Region has defected to PP is not true. It is merely propaganda aimed at giving a picture that they are making in road in our party which is  just a fallacy,” Ndanga said.

He explained: “UDF Deputy Director of Youth in Eastern  Region is Daniel Molambo from Madelco in Mangochi and has  not left the party.”

Ndanga said Sitola had no any position in UDF party and comes from PP Ralph Jouma’s  constituency.
“The UDF remains the strongest party in Mangochi,” Ndanga said.

When contacted for comment, Daniel Molambo of Mdelco, Michesi village TA Mponda, Mongochi said he is indeed deputy director of UDF youth in eastern region and has not resigned.

“I remain in UDF and the party is strong here. PP are jokers,” he said.
