UDF reorganises its politburo: Ngwale research director, Antonie director of elections, Stambuli campaign director
In its drive to revamp the party ahead of the 2019 elections, United Democratic Front (UDF) has re-organized some of strategic positions in National Executive Committee (NEC).





According to a statement by UDF Secretary General Kandi Padambo seen by Nyasa Times, the party has appointed newly joined and former senior member for opposition People’s Party, Clement Stambuli as Campaign Director taking over from Nkozomba who is now the Executive Assistant to the party’s president Atupele Muluzi and also NEC member.
Stambuli, who has rejoined the party, last held position of organising secretary before he dumped it for PP.
Among other changes the party has made includes the appointment of Mike Antoine as National Director of Elections.
While a Mr Nkumba has been reassigned to head the Security Directorate as Director of Security as Dr Matthews Ngwale has been appointed Director of Research.
Austin Kalimanjira is now the new Director of Political Affairs
According to Padambo the appointments which are effective from 22nd August ,2017 have been made as one way of strengthening the party as it gears up to 2019 elections
Padambo said the appointments have been made after wider consultation within the party.
