Malawi champions Big Bullets are confident of securing the services of South African based battle-hardened striker, Esau Kanyenda, who has expressed interest to his football career with the club.
The 33-year-old Kanyenda, who is under contract with Polokwane City FC of South African premier soccer league, has said if his South African side does not renew his contract at the end of the season he will head back home and in Bullets camp.
” If they extend my contract then I will stay but if they don’t then I will leave to finish off my career at Big Bullets in Malawi,”he told the Kickoff in South Africa.
Kanyenda who has scored 13 goals in 54 appearances for the Malawi national football team has only one season to play before hanging up his boots.
“Right now I still think and feel of playing the game of soccer for another year’’ he remained optimistic.
He retired from international football after featuring for the Flames in 2014 match against Ethiopia in a 2015 AFCON qualifier.
