Despite winning several other domestic cups the past decade, the Nomads last won the league title way back in 2006.

Speaking over the weekend after a Wanderers gala ceremony at Robbins Park in Blantyre where players were rewarded for their hard work and last season’s achievements, Wadabwa said he is optimistic that the time has now come for the Nomads to win the league title.

“What I and the rest of the Nyerere family wants now is to win the league title. With God everything is possible and I strongly believe that this is the season God planned for us to win the league,” Wadabwa said.

The gifted forward said Wanderers is full of quality players and sees nothing stopping them from winning the championship.

Wadabwa also revealed that the coming in of former Silver Strikers captain Lucky Malata at the Lali Lubani outfit will add up some positives.

“Lucky is a good and experienced defender. His presence will motivate others and to say the fact we have a quality squad and it is not necessary to bring in more new players,” he said.

Wadabwa was influential last season and assisted the Nomads win Carlsberg and Fisd Cips plus a Bus in the Luso TV Busi Ipite Bonanza.

His impressive and five star performance, earned his two awards at the gala award ceremony Wanderers held last Sarurday.

Wadabwa  was voted as the best striker as well as player of the 2016 soccer season.
