Wadabwa, Kamwendo Japan trip delayed to January 2017
Mighty Be Forward Wanderers duo of experienced striker Peter Wadabwa and veteran midfielder Joseph Kamwendo will not leave the club for Japan as earlier announced, club Chairman George Chamangwana has confirmed.
Reports went viral on social media and through some radion stations that the two will leave this week.
The will in the next season play for undisclosed Japanesse Club.
According to Chamangwana, the two players will be released mid-January.
He said their aim is for the duo to assist the team further in their remaining TNM Super League games campaign.
“We want all our players available but we are not blocking them” said Chamangwana.
He said they have taken advantage of Japanesse league which he said commences in January and there is no logic for the players to leave now.
The Nomads who already have two trophies on their shelf this season [Carlsberg and Fisd Challenge] already gave up on winning the league title and are only eyeing a top four finish.
They are currently on position six with 41 points from 27 games and this weekend, they welcome Mzuzu soldiers Moyale Barracks in a game to be played at the Balaka Stadium.
Kamuzu Barracks are still on the driving seat with 52 points followed by Nyasa Big Bullets and and Blue Eagles on second and thirs positions respectively with 51 points each.
Silver are on fourth with 50 points while Mafco FC seats on position five with 47 points.
