General Secretary Mike Butao confirmed that the payment would be backdated to January.

Butao also disclosed that they would employ an accountant to work hand-in-hand with the secretariat.

“We are going to start accessing the sponsorship this week backdate to January to cover for January costs,” Butao said.

“We are employing an accountant to work with the secretariat starting first week of February.”

He conceded that the delay had affected their operations saying they had not paid January salaries and allowances for their players.

“Our preparations for the season have also been affected as well,” Butao said,

The Nomads are expected to start preparations for the forthcoming season on Monday at Country Club Limbe where new players interested to join the club are urged to report for assessment.

The starting of preparations for next season come barely after the club made radical changes to the coaching panel by bringing in their rivals former Bullets coach Elia Kananji as coach, while another former Bullets Eddington Ng’onamo as manager for the junior teams.

Veteran coach Yasin Osman, who was technical Director will assume the position of Manager for all the teams, Reserve and Under-20.
