Wanderers player bonuses raised: In Mzuzu for tricky FISD Cup fixture

Defending FISD Challenge Cup Champions, Mighty Be Forward Wanderers are in ‘Green city’ Mzuzu in their quest to defend the cup as they face Moyale Barracks in the Super League preliminary round on Tuesday at Mzuzu Stadium.

The two teams are meeting for third time in a cup competition this season as they met in the Airtel Top 8 and Carlsberg cup semi finals.

Both games were in favour of Wanderers and the Tuesday’s tussle comes on the heels of the raise in game bonuses for the Lali Lubani Boys for a win.

Wanderers has doubled game bonuses for a win for its players from K30, 000 to K60, 000 for both league and cup games.

Moyale will be facing Wanderers after a misfortune weekend in Lilongwe during a league outing where they lost to Silver Strikers 2-1 at Silver stadium  and won 2-0 against Blue Eagles at Nankhaka ground.

Talk of the town is veteran goal poacher, Essau ‘Black Mamba” Kanyenda who scored three goals in two games  and has shown his ability to deliver in front of goal.

The likes of Boyi Boyi Chima, Mphatso Mhone and Victor Mwale  in Moyale defence they need to keep a close eye on him.

Juma Chikwenga in goals for Moyale need to be protected by his defence as Kanyenda and Peter Wadabwa will form the striking partner.

The return of Stanley Kaliati, Jabulani Linje and Felix Zulu from national duty should provide the needed stability for the team which lacking in Saturday’s defeat.

The other three games will be played on Wednesday, October 11, 2017  as Dwangwa entertain on fire Nyasa Big Bullets,  Capital city kings, Silver Strikers will sort it out with Salima based soldiers,  Mafco and Blue Eagles play host to current whipping boys, Chitipa United.
