Wanderers seek to maintain impressive start: Madeira says relaxing is for losers
Mighty Be Forward Wanderers say they want to to maintain their impressive start to the 2017 TNM Super League campaign this weekend after they notched their fourth win and they are yet to concede netting six in the process.
The Nomads are neck to neck on 12 points with Red Lions on the summit table, only that the soldiers have a one goal superior.
Last Sunday, the Nomads breathed fire following their 3-0 victory against Mafco FC at the Civo Stadium.
Lucky Malata, Joseph Kamwendo and Yamikani Chester scored each to take the to 12 points from four wins.
They are one of two sides which are still undefeated along with Silver Strikers and Red Lions.
Meanwhile, the Nomads team manager Steven Madeira has warned his players not to rest on their laurels.
The Nomads technical panel which is comprised of Yasin Osman, Bob Mpinganjira and Jack Chamangwana has attempted to re-instil a winning mentality into their squad.
“We are enjoying our game this season so it’s important to enjoy the win with the players, the club and the fans. We worked very hard. But relax? No. I don’t like this. I want people who stay, every day, concentrated and preparing for a new win.
“We must have a winning mentality. If you have that, you want to continue to win in every game. It’s not easy because, above all in the Super League there are many teams who want to do the same things. But we have to continue to work very hard, maybe stronger than the previous games, to try to have a good season.”
Congrats Nomads but please emulate chelsea of last season by winning more games now when your equals are in disarray and create a huge gap and enjoy your game all the way to the finish line. If you want to claim championship, this is the time.
