Wanderers to sign Chimango Kaira

Mighty Wanderers are on the brink sign ousted Escom United blossoming midfielder Chimango Kaira if he agrees on terms the, Nyasa Times can reveal.

In an interview with Nyasa Times, the Nomads team manager Mac Hodges Chunga said the Lali Lubani boys are looking forward to strengthen their midfield ahead of the 2012-2013 soccer seasons.

“We have plans to bring in Escom United midfielder Chimango Kaira if all goes well because l understand he was discussing with our executive and there is light at the end of the tunnel.”

He said Kaira is a potential asset for Wanderers.

“He is a good and well experienced player who can suit well in our plans. Our hope is that if we will succeed in signing him then it will be good news in our camp,” stressed Chunga.

Kaira told Nyasa Times that discussions were on an advanced stage.

“The Nomads have indeed shown interest in me and talks are at an advanced stage. I would be glad if the move will be materialized because it is a team with a lot of followers. But lam not yet certain if we are going to agree a good package .It is subject to talks right now,” said the Flames versatile midfielder.

The Nomads, who are the defending champions for the expensive cup in Malawi, the Presidential Cup blended youngsters in their camp last season.

Some of the young lads in the camp are slippery right winger Cuthbert Sinetre, Gerald ‘Papa’ Phiri, Pilirani Zonda, Innocent Jere,  Bongani Kaipa, Alfred Manyozo and Anthony Banda.
