Which well are you drinking from

In this time that we are living, many have lost direction because they have put their faith in other things other than God. Faith in preachers, pastors, or anything that you are worshipping instead of God, will only bring great disappointment. “Let us look only to Jesus, the one who begun our faith and who makes it perfect” (Hebrews 12:2).jesus bible

The Bible talks about the time that Jesus came to the city of Samaria and Jacob’s well was there. There she met with a woman who had emphasis on Jacob, as was the emphasis of most Samaritans that she talked highly of the well because Jacob gave them the well which he drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle. But Jesus explained to the woman that “whosoever drinks of this water shall thirst again; But whosoever shall drink of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life” (John 4:13-14).

Water of the world or the things of the world will never satisfy man. Look how great Jacob was but still in his own abilities could not satisfy the woman’s desires as the woman would need to continue to drink the water. This is the same as how children of God are taking preachers as an alternative to God.

If your faith is on preachers or anything else, you will always first and this is why you have been praying for the same situation but it’s still there all because you are tapping in a wrong well.

You have tried to tap in that well of the world, which only pertains to externals and all you have received is failure; why not tap in the living waters that is the perennial fountain leading you to everlasting life.  When you tap into the living water, you will know it because you will not want to just sit down, but you will want others to also experience what you have just experienced just the way this woman did, going to tell others.

You may have been drinking in other wells, but Jesus is calling you home today. Look at where the world is going; we may not have enough time for tomorrow is never guaranteed.

“Ho everyone who thirst, come you to the waters, and he who has no money; come you, buy and eat; yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without money and without price” (Isaiah 55:1).
