Wizards fire coach Trevor Kajawa
Struggling TNM super league side PremierBet Wizards has shown its headcoach Trevor Kajawa an exit door for poor performance of the team and bad results.

According to the message written by Kajawa on Tuesday and it is currently circulating in the social media including Facebook it reads: “Hello members i would like to inform you that am no longer head coach for Premier Bet Wizards. The club has decided to terminate my
services due to poor performance”
Wizards appointed Kajawa early this year to take the mantle of head coach after FAM advised the owner of the team Peter Mponda who was also acting as headcoach to stop leading the technical panel with coaching because he don’t posses CAF B coaching license.
Speaking to Nyasa Times,Kajawa confirmed that he has been fired from the team.
“Yes I’ve been told that from today (Tuesday) I am no longer Wizards coach. I have accepted everything am just wishing them all the best,” said Kajawa.
The former Blackpool coach said he is not worried with the development because it is one of those things which every coach expect to face when he is coaching.
“When you get fired as a coach that’s what makes a you to be a good coach, I have learnt a lot from Wizards it’s a good team with a lot of talented players in short I should say I had a wonderful time during my stay at Wizards and i will miss every team member but as of now
life has to go on,” said Kajawa.
After joining the team Kajawa managed to win crucial matches at their Backyard Mulanje Park Stadium against Mzuni F.C, Dwangwa United, Civil Sporting Club and Blue Eagles which helped to take the team to position one where it stayed for about a month.
But Wizards lost the truck especially in the final matches of the first round.
The situation continued in the second round where it has lost all their first 5 games and it is now stuck on position 13 with 19 points from 20 games.
Wizards Technical Director Peter Mponda could not immediately comment.
