Women private parts fetching K14m, Mchinji murder tells court
Medson Selemani who murdered his cousin Janet Chitedze and mutilated her private parts at Shadreck Village in Mchinji district says he was told he would be K14 Million richer by a Mozambizan witch doctor.
Selemani who was on the run, was arrested by Mchinji Police at Namitete in Lilongwe on Saturday.
He told Mana that a Mozambican witchdoctor told him to bring a breast, private parts and eyes hence he decided to kill his cousin.
The suspect who is now at Mchinji hospital where he is receiving treatment for malaria also said he never took the private parts to the witch doctor but buried them close to where he murdered his cousin.
Selemani who looks remorseful and confused says he wanted to inform the Mozambican witchdoctor before giving him the private parts.
Mchinji Police Publicist Moses Kajawa Nyirenda told Mana the suspect was arrested after receiving a tip from one villager at Chiusi Village, T/A Kalolo in Lilongwe where the suspect went to look for a job.
According to the PRO, “He (the villager- name withheld) was suspicious when Selemani went to his house to look for a job, he looked confused and mentally unstable and he remembered that police were looking for a murder suspect in Mchinji and alerted the Namitete Police.”
Nyirenda said the police took Selemani to identify a place where he buried the private parts and the parts were taken for examination at Mchinji hospital.
Selemani 23, will appear in court soon to answer murder charges.
