Though he is still in active football but Jimmy Zakazaka has proven to be one of the most ambitious player in Malawi as he has managed to become the first active footballer to receive players middleman/agent certificate from Football Association of Malawi (FAM ).
The former Flames international striker applied for the certificate in July this year.
Speaking to Nyasa Times after receiving his certificate Zakazaka said he is very much excited to have the paper as it has been his long time dream to become players middleman/agent so that he can help upcoming players to have good opportunities of joining teams both local and outside Malawi and make sure that they get better contracts.
“My main target is to help my fellow players at local as well as international level bacause I also have some good connections outside
Malawi. I also want to start preparing life after football career,” said Zakazaka who is trying his lucky at Nyasa Big Bullets club after
dumping Wanderers last month.
“The fact that I have this certificate does not mean I have stopped playing. I will be playing at the same time working as a players
middleman/agent because I still have some 5 years of playing,” said the 33-year-old star.
The former Free State Stars, Cape Town FC and Botswana Defence Force X1 said its high time players should make a leaving through the game because gone are the days where teams treat players the way they want.
“I want to help the up coming players to live like professionals by managing their lives and football issues because players are
suffering since they don’t know anything about football so as a senior player who has been playing international football I want to fight for them so that they can live a happy life,” added Zakazaka who started his football career at Azam Tigers.
