Zambian Preacher Prophesies Divine Revival for Malawi Ahead of 2025 Elections

With Malawi set to hold its highly anticipated tripartite elections on September 16, 2025, a powerful prophetic message has come from neighboring Zambia—calling the nation to prayer and peace.

Apostle Chileshe Shonga, a retired Zambian police detective and founder of Rahoboth Christian Church, says she has received a divine vision revealing a spiritual revival tied to Malawi’s upcoming elections.

Speaking in Lilongwe during an engagement organized by the Pastors Peace Makers Fraternal (PPF)—a Christian coalition promoting peace and godly leadership—Apostle Shonga declared:

“God is taking Malawi to a new level of peace, unity, and restoration. This revival will unfold through credible and peaceful elections in September.”

Backed by scriptural references from Psalms 84:9, Hebrews 12:9, and Job 14:7–9, Shonga urged Malawians to engage in fervent prayer and to uphold their leaders in intercession.

“Pray for those in authority. Malawi’s future depends on leaders who acknowledge God in their work,” she said.

She also praised the efforts of the PPF, led by Bishop Joshua Jere, for championing peace and godly values across the country.

PPF Secretary General, Bishop Esnart Chafulumira, described Shonga’s message as timely and transformative:

“This is a wake-up call. As we approach the elections, citizens must not only vote wisely but also pray fervently for divine direction and national peace.”

With tensions often running high during electoral seasons, Shonga’s message is being seen as a spiritual nudge—reminding Malawians that lasting change begins with unity, prayer, and divine purpose.
