Bullets fined K0.5mil for pitch invasion, supporter gets four year ban
The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Disciplinary Committee has fined Nyasa Big Bullets K500,000 for pitch invasion during their round of 16 Fisd Cup game against Silver Strikers at the Kamuzu Stadium on October 26, 2016.

FAM said in a statement that the committee considered a response to the charges from Nyasa Big Bullets as well as reports submitted by the Match Coordinator, the Police, the Stewards, the Referee and the Match Commissioner.
During the match, Bullets Supporter, Yusuf Julius invaded the pitch during the second half of the stated match and tampered with water bottles for Silver Strikers goalkeeper which were kept around his goal area.
The incident happened in full view of Police and Stewards who unfortunately failed to apprehend the fan.
However, the Committee concluded that in spite of Security laps Bullets failed to take all necessary precautions to prevent their supporter from displaying unsporting behaviour.
“Nyasa Big Bullets were found guilty of pitch invasion. As per article 24.10 of the FISD Challenge Cup Rules and Regulations, Nyasa Big Bullets are fined K500, 000.00,” reads the statement.
FAM has also meted the Bullets supporter with a four year ban for being found guilty of tampering with Silver Strikers goal area contrary to article 24.9.
“The Bullets supporter, Yusuf Julius is with immediate effect banned from attending all official football matches organized by FAM and all its affiliates for four years. Nyasa Big Bullets is ordered to ensure compliance of the ban imposed on Julius,” it reads.
The club has been asked to pay all the fines before its next fixture.
