Mulanje police spokesperson Gresham Ngwira said when they questioned the children, they said “they ventured into such a dangerous adventure because  they were in desperate need of transport to Blantyre.”

According to Police, mong the four, one is aged 11 and comes from Lilongwe, another 12 from Dowa while the remaining two are both about 13 years old and from Blantyre and Mangochi respectively.

Very Sad, yet people still continue stealing Government money and the poor are becoming poorer day by day. Investigate why such young kids escaped from Chisomo children’s Home. Interrogate management of this Chisomo Home. Take the kids to another safe home and not Mpemba Boys home as doing so will only make them future hardcore criminals.

Very bad. God should be glorified for their safe trip. It is a strong reminder to policy makers that all is not well with these desperate children
