Mafco blocks Mbulu deal, KB duo hunted by Mozambican Clubs

Malawi Golden Boot award  winner Richard Mbulu will not be able to join Mozambique club Costa da Sol as Mafco FC said they will not allow the player to leave over disagreement of signing on fee.

Mbulu: Golden Boot player

Overton N’goma, Mafco team manager, said the Mozambique club already remitted $3,500 for siging Mbulu but they are sending it back, saying it manifestly inadequate.

“We are sending back this money, If they improve the offer, we will consider releasing him,” Ngoma said.

Meanwhile, two Kamuzu Barracks players Harvey Nkacha and Manase Chiyesa are being

hunted by Mozambican top league Clubs.

This comes barely just a week after the military side was crowned champions of Malawi elite TNM Super League.

Both Nkacha and Chiyesa have been instrumental in KB’s road to league championship as well as in cup competitions.

According to reports, Nkacha is being chased by Desportivo de Songo while Costa do Sol are seeking the services of Chiyesa.

K.B Team Manager Francis Nthukwa Shawa confirmed in an interview with a local radio on Wednesday about the Development.

Nkacha dodged to comment when contacted by Nyasa Times but said it would be great to play at professional level.

Shawa described the two as quality players and challenged the teams seeking their services to come up with a convincing offer.

Some of the conditions that Shawa has already set is a signing on fee of about K13 Million and a monthly salary of not less than K3 Million for Nkacha.

He said football is short term career hence the need to make bold decisions that will benefit the player as well as his family.

Commenting on the team in general, Shawa said they will maintain the same squad they used in the just ended season and that they will only bring in new faces if some players may leave.

KB made history in 2016 by becoming the first ever military side to win the league in Malawi.

They set another record in 2013 when they won the prestigious Carlsberg Cup.

Salary of not less than K3million. Mr Nthukwa that’s unreasonable. That to me is like prohibiting and hindering the player from joining the team. Half that amount would be reasonable
