Be Forward extends Wanderers sponsorship for a year

Japanese second-hand car dealers Be Forward Company has extended its football sponsorship term with Mighty Wanderers with an extra one year.

Nomads sponsors Be Foreward from Japan

Mighty Be Forwards Wanderers secrrtary general Mike Butao confirmed the development in an interview with Nyasa Times on Friday.

“It is true sponsorship has been extended,” Butao said.

When asked to unpack the total amount allocated in the new package, the Nomads General Secrretary opted for more time as they are finalizing some paper work.

“We are still putting final touches to the whole agreement so details will be released once we have finalized,” he said.

Wanderers senior player Alfred Manyozo described this development as welcome and said they will work more extra harder in the 2017 season.

“This is a welcome development and we assure our sponsors of positive results this coming season,”said Manyozo.

Despite struggling to mount a strong league challenge in the just ended 2016 soccer season, the Nomads managed to grab Carlsberg Cup and the newly introduced FISD Challenge Cup.

They also won a grand prize of a Nissan 25 seater Bus in the Luso TV Bus Ipite Bonanza beating their old age rivals Nyasa Big Bullets 5-1 on aggregate.

The initial sponsorship in the first year between Be Forwad Copany and Wanderers was pegged at K70 Million before it was increased to K103 Million.
