Zoya : Scored

Chiukepo Msowoya’s double and Emmanuel Zoya goals in the second half propelled Bullets victory to claim maximum points to the delight of Bullets fans after being starved of goals against Civil Sporting.

Bullets capitalized on three set pieces twice delivered by man of the match Fisher Kondowe from corner kicks and Kondwani Kumwenda’s free kick.

The Peoples Team  reduced current leaders, Mighty Be Forward Wanderers lead to six points but have a game in hand.

Nyasa have massed 38 points from 19 games still on third position just a point behind second placed Silver Silvers who were held to 1-1 draw in Chitowe when they faced Dwangwa United.

Kamuzu Barracks have now lost twice at home and last week they tumbled against Mzuni 2-0 and have created a 22 point gap with leaders.

Bullets had wholesale chance of opening the score sheet through Nelson Kangunje, Msowoya and Muhammad Sulumba but luck was not on their side.

The defensive formation of Kamuzu Barracks Pempho Kansichiri and Sam Chivunde provided a lot of checks on Bullets on slots.

Kondowe had a field day on the right flank and provide searching crosses but finishing was the problem.

The first half offered not scores despite several scoring opportunities for both sides and with Bullets keeper Rabson Chiyenda and Kamuzu Barracks goalie Lehman Nthala showcasing their abilities.

The second half saw Kamuzu Barracks coming with more attacking approach with Davie Banda and Manase Chiyesa threatening more.

Msowoya opened the score sheet in 52nd minute when he headed home from Kondowe’s corner kick.

Kondowe had his attempt save by Nthala in the 57th minute after Kangunje had done a spade work.

Kamuzu Barracks could have cancealled the lead 61st minutes when Banda and Chiseya’s powerful shots were denied by the post.

Six minutes later Zoya increased the lead to 2-0 when he headed in Kondowe’s corner when Kamuzu Barracks defence went to bed.

In the 79th minute Msowoya claimed double and stretched the lead to 3-0 when he headed home Kumwenda’s free kick.

Kangunje was unlucky for missing out on the score sheet when his thunderbolt went flying after being set by Msowoya 84 th minute.

The last minutes Kamuzu Barracks tried to get a consolation goal but it too late to find.

“We have enjoyed the game and I think Civil were lucky yesterday. This is the Bullets we know,” Bullets Fan, Chiyembekezo Chide said.

He said Bullets approach in the second half was more positive and they had a mission to collect maximum points.

A Kamuzu Barracks diehard, John Mbedza said our team has lost steam and we are fairing to get results at home.

He said our problem is being compounded with a number of injuries the team has suffered during the course of the season.
