Education tops Mutharika’s Mzuzu campaign pledges

Big promises to improve education service delivery in the Northern Region topped the Democratic Progressive Party  (DPP) presidential candidate Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s  whistle-stop tours  in Mzuzu on Sunday.

Mutharika: Promises for education

President Mutharika promised to invest in infrastructure and technical support  to both secondary and vocational education in Mzuzu in addition to the newly build teacher’s houses at Mzuzu University.

“Schools are in a  bad shape here in Mzuzu. We will ensure that we build more school blocks. We will build 200 new schools from July. Here in Mzimba,  we will have seven new secondary schools. And here in Mzuzu, we will build a secondary school with  girls hostels.

“Starting from August, here in Mzuzu,  we will start construction of a community technical college so that our youth may learn various skills such as sewing and then they can employ themselves,” Mutharika said.

  1. Koma APM stop fooling the people from the North. You promise more education projects when you cannot even show them the Mombera University from 5 years ago.

When it comes to roads you cannot even complete a 30 km road from Jenda to Edingeni for 5 years the fact that part of it was done by JB.

People from the North should be the best idiots in the world to believe you and take you seriously any more. APM you have by now spent all your political capital in the Notth and by that account the whole Malawi. You are still being played by your crooked advisors.

APM keeps on boasting of chitukuko meaning roads and refurbished primary schools from Kamuzu era that have turned into low quality Tec Colleges with no teachers and materials. The primary schools are becoming Tec Colleges and trees into primary schools. That I sent chitukuko by the definition of APM. Malawians let’s demand better from leaders who spend on themselves in our names. The irony I sent we keeping begging for developments instead of demanding! Who is supposed to please who??

The roads that keep mentioned on MBC are as narrow and thinly tarmaced as paper, made in this age when other countries are moving to double lanes-highways between districts connected to high quality and massive M1!

Malawians why do we clap hands for APM and DPP when they have nothing really of substance to show for our taxes in 5 years? Look at the M1 in Malawi, it’s the most pathetic M1 the whole world! DPP even fails to maintain M1 and yet have the audacity to promise more roads.

It’s high time APM and DPP accounted to Malawians for their collosal and irresponsible expenditures with no returns to Malawians.

Lord God we come before you to work through every Malawian and remove this Party called DPP from oppressing us any longer beyond the general elections. Amen and Amen!!!

  2. For 5 years Mutharika did not know schools were in bad shape in Mzuzu.
