Nankhumwa says on track for DPP top leadership bid

Opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) presidential aspirant Kondwani Nankhumwa says he is on track for the party presidential bid.

Nankhumwa: Not retreating

He said this amid rumours that he might have withdrawn from the party presidential bid due to, among others, lack of campaign money.

But in an interview, Nankhumwa said he has not withdrawn from the party presidential race.

“I am still in the race and I will win,” said the soft spoken Nankhumwa who now faces stiff competition from Dalitso Kabambe and Joseph Mwanamvekha.

Nankhumwa was the first to enter the party presidential race.

His political opponents are now crisscrossing the country meeting DPP committee members who will vote during a convention whose dates will be announced later.

People know that Tonse alliance wants Nankhumwa to take the position so that as we near general election his pending arrest could be effected to leave DPP with no hope for their leadership. DPP and others know this evil and sinister plot tonse alliance has put in their files.

Nthawi yotenga anthu osaphunzira kukhala president inapita ndi Muluzi. Get some education before you can attempt to stand against the likes of Chilima.DPP should be in the hands of Kabambe or Mwanamveka osati Nankhumwa.

Whatever political or academic defects in him the lad has our smile because he is focused on maintaining the DPP parliamentary power. Those crisscrossing the political terraces of our Great Republic have a big job to dismiss the KN boy from the minds of DPP diehards. Yosefe Mwanaveka is another hogwash over his unwillingness to fund fresh presidential election he is the DPP system Malawians will be tossed in any way should this guy get to the State house as the first Tenant. It is just fine the former Reserve Bank boss is sharing lollipops to the party diehards after… Read more »

This person is not yet cleared from his educational qualifications saga.He is really George Malemia who failed PSLC exams. How he found himself being called George Malemia Kondwani Nankhumwa revolves around the allegations that he used his deceased cousin’s certificate. His cousin was Kondwani Nankhumwa. Ask anyone around Chisitu Mulanje about this. They will confirm about his forgery on this.He should therefore be probed thoroughly and if evidence tallies with the allegation, he should be prosecuted in a court of law.
