Entertainers’ music Phungwe hits Lilongwe, next stop Mzuzu

Its summer time, hot weather; the moment good vibes make jolly. As for Lilongwe, the moments have just began with Entertainers Promotions hosting music phungwe in the capital city.

With a blend of major and renowned local and urban artists on the list to dish out their very best, Mungo Park becomes the best place to patronize on Friday, as the Entertainers Carlsberg Phungwe gears to rock the capital all night long with a music feast.

Who dare to miss the capturing voices of Sir Lucius Banda, Black missionaries, one Skeffa Chimoto, Lulu, Phungu Joseph Nkasa, Sally Nyundo and Anthony Makondetsa. Honesty, the summer time could not start at any better level than this.

And surely, the Friday night would turn into a definitely a rare moments for the central region music patrons as the organizers have also loped in the Unamata star, Piksy and new kid on the urban music block, Armstrong as well as Nyemba Nyemba boys, Symon and Kendal.

“There will also be Mafunyeta, Toza Matafale and Reggae Boys, Nes Nes, Kaka, Haxi Mumba and Chayicoon. It will be the biggest show with biggest stage, biggest artists to rock the patrons all night long,” said Entertainers Promotion Managing Director, Jai Banda.

Banda, lawyer by profession added: “We thought of blending the list of performers in order to cater for all generations. It’s a moment a man and his wife comes out and enjoy as the veterans in the music business share same stage with blossoming urban artists”.

The Lilongwe phungwe comes just a month after Blantyre had its share of fun at Blantyre Sport Club where the glitz and glamour were the order of the day with billed artists effectively dished out the best.

“From Lilongwe we will be heading to Mzuzu. We would like to make it to all regions. As for the eastern region, the show is slated for December in Mangochi. Its best shows ever to happen across the country with lighting, smoke machines, bubbles and quality sound of 55,000 walts, why would one love to kiss such great show,’ said Banda.

The Phungwe is being sponsored by Carlsberg Malawi through its Kuche Kuche beer brand as well as other companies which include Blockbuster Megastore, Afri Music, Thompex hardware, Fattani Offset printers and Kips Restaurant.
