My are my assessment of the whole match and why we have lost:
1. poor fielding of players; those that would have done wonders were left to warm the bench. Substitutions too were done without any reason(s) in the mind.
2. Goal keeping was a big problem because all the balls that have gone past Harawa would have easily been tamed had he been all eyes.
3. Kamwendo is a good player but with due respect, in today’s game, he was in DRC. He did not deserve to play for the entire 90+ minutes
Having said this, I can foresee a dark cloud in as far as Malawi’s qualification campaign to 2017 AFCON is concerned unless we change our approach or something happens to some of our opponents.

As I predicted,there is a lot of mediocrity from the Malawian team starting from the coaching panel itself to the playing system.How can a team that traveled on the road and arrived some few hours before the game beat a team that played friendlies and prepared thoroughly?Zimbabwe never played friendlies and assembled its team within two days before the game and yet managed to win away.
Frankly speaking,Malawi doesn’t have coaches to improve the national team.This habit of FAM officials going for cheap coaches locally will never take us anywhere.It is a shame losing at home to a team that was vulnerable.The fact is these coaches have to resign before Malawi gets more embarrassed in the next games.They have no intelligent ideas to help the team,even their unwise substitutions speak volume of how incapable they are.Credit should go to Micium Mhone,John Banda,and Limbikani Mzava for their individual displays.
