ACB nab cop, lawyer Kamkwasi out on bail

Malawi’s graft bursting body the Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Lilongwe based police officer for soliciting MK50, 000 from a wife of suspect.

The officer identified as Ernest Saulosi was arrested earlier this month after a complaint alleging the law enforcer demanded the money from Stella Kuliramboni in order to release her husband on bail.

ACB publicist Egritta Ndala said in a statement made available to Nyasa Times the suspect obtained cash amounting to MK40, 000 in advance from Kuliramboni on May 1.
