Blantyre Zero resumes training in the battle for title
Southern Region Women’s Football Champions Blantyre Zero have resumed training at the Upper Stadium in the commercial city Blantyre after a long break in readiness of their next fixture in the
Southern Region Women’s Football League.
Blantyre Zero Coach Abel Mkandawire said the team is on course to win the title despite trailing to Zomba City Queens.
“Our mission is to grab the league and no matter what we will do it,” said Mkandawire.
He however conceded that it will not be a walk in the park.

Veteran Women’s footballer, Maggie-Chombo-Malinga who is also the team’s captain concurred with her mentor that their focus is to collect maximum points on the games left.
“We do not want to lose any game because that will mean reducing our chances to grab the cup. But each and every players is aware that we need full points in our remaining matches,” said Chombo.
Blantyre Zero custodian, Thoko also challenged that she was not ready to keep clean sheet in the remaining games.
Blantyre Zero is one of the successful teams as far as Women’s football is concerned in the country being sponsored by Sadik Malinga.
