Analyse Malawi presidential hopefuls carefully -Thomson
Veteran politician standing as independent parliamentary candidate for Chikhwawa North, Harry Thomson has tipped voters in the constituency to elect the president who has a heart to develop the country not those vying for the position for self-enrichment mission.
The former cabinet Minister during United Democratic Front (UDF) regime said this on when he addressed a sizeable crowd at Village Headman Sabao who is under Traditional Authority Katunga in the district.
“I am appealing to all of you to take your time and critically analyze all the presidential candidates and choose the best person whom I can work with to fulfill my pledge after May 20.

“Everyone is aware that public resources meant for the poor rural masses medical drugs and other essentials were looted and plundered at Capitol Hill,” he said.
Thomson promised to bring economic development in the constituency by wooing foreign investors to start their businesses to improve infrastructural development and create job opportunities in the district.
There are four candidates who currently stand a chance of occupying State House after the polls – President Joyce Banda of the People’s Party (PP), Atupele Muluzi of the United Democratic Front (UDF), Peter Mutharika of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and Reverend Lazarus Chakwera of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
