Ben Phiri says DPP has fulfilled its promises by 75 per cent,

The  Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) director of field operations Ben Phiri says the party has fulfilled 75 per cent of the 2014 manifesto promises by implementing various developments in the country.

Ben Phiri: We have fulfilled our promises

Phiri made the remarks during the media briefing on Tuesday at his  Beata Printing offices in Lilongwe Area 49, aimed updating the media on some of the developments which DPP has done in the country.

Among some of the developments Phiri said, DPP has managed to construct better roads, Airport renovations, state of the art stadiums which he said they are acting as centres of entertainment and the introduction of Community colleges.

The director said that government through the leadership of DPP has managed to construct sugar factories and cotton factories which he said they have created job opportunities among the youth in the country.

Phiri pointed out that government has managed to establish Mlambe Centres known as One-Stop Public Services Delivery Centres in Lilongwe and Mangochi.

The Director said the Centres has reduced the task force by providing multiple services such as; the issuance passports, driver’s licenses, certificate of fitness (CoF) for vehicles, change of vehicles ownership, national identities as well as birth and death certificates.

On the other hand Phiri said government for the first time under the leadership of Prof. r Peter Mutharika has convinced a donor to offer 100 vehicles to help Malawi Police Service to provide strong security in the in the country.

He said that DPP is the only party which is fulfilling its promises raised during its campaign period before it started ruling the country.

“DPP is the only political party which has managed to fulfill the promises raised during its campaign period as we believe that Malawians are not stupid as they think when choosing the leadership,” phiri explained.

He said DPP’s vision and mission is to bring in sustainable developments in different sectors including education and health sectors in the country.

  4. Can glorify this madness with any comment. That’s why Chilima need to hijack the party and hand it over to MCP.

  5. Big up but the onus remains in the voters yard for the final say so move on to the remaining 25% as there is still time.

  6. Of course DPP has achieved 75% or even 99% of its mediocre 2014 manifesto promises. If what we see in Malawi is a definition of success then I can only conclude that DPP’s vision and dream were just so low and uninspiring to begin with. Mr Ben Phiri, I know you are educated and don’t believe you truly mean what you’re saying. Look at the Country Economic & Social Indicators, compiled by world Bank and some credible global institutions. Everything looks bad and in some cases dead depressing and yet you are saying Malawi is progressing. You must be so empty-headed despite your level of education to think this is good for Malawians. In fact you should be burying your head in shame. The situation in Malawi isn’t something you should be proud of but rather be ashamed of. Unless you are living on a parallel planet, you must be noticing children dying right in hospitals (with no drugs or equipment), you must have heard from your extended in the village that children are going to sleep hungry, you must have driven on roads that are dangerous to pass, you must have come across classrooms under a tree, you must have come across so many pit latrines at schools. And you must have travelled just across the boarder to see for yourself what progress means.

  7. Ku DPP kwalowa chipasupasu. Tionana chaka chamawa. DPP has managed to steal 75% of Malawians money. If you want to tell us what you have achieved

  10. Ben, why do you make yourselves that dull? You a person who can advised your old APM to change the way he conducts himself. I know you as an intelligent guy – one who has visited big city in the world. Do you really see anything worth mentioning as development from 2014 to date? I seriously that doubt that. We are over 53 years after independence, no war and GOD has been kind enough to give us rains all these years. This should tell you that leadership has been a problem. Look at what big economies have done – youthful guys of less than 42 years leading Australia and France. This is why our friends are doing fine. Do you mean you can’t lead Malawians better than your old APM given chance? Dyera lizakuononga my friend.

  13. Ben Phiri might have something in his head that curtails his level of pondering over significant issues. What fulfilment has the Muthalika regime accomplished to the level of 75%? Corruption? disastrous economy? tribalism? joblessness at 85%? crime rate at 90%? nepotism at an alarming level? shortage of electricity nation-wide the list goes on and on.Mr.Phiri,please do your home-work deligently do not bit about the bush, people are facing economic hardship to feed their families each day that comes.in short, the DPP government has drastically failed to deliver the goods. How about acute shortage of medicine in government hospitals which has now become endemic?

    1. The evil spirit has possessed most of our politicians; they are now speaking in tongues. We need an exorcist. Malawi has lost its ways. We need redemption starting with our political leaders like Ben Phiri and his boss Peter

    1. PhD in cheating and emptiness. The university requires one to lack vision, credibility and reasoning with no critical thinking skills in order to be awarded the PhD he now possesses
