Blue Eagles up against Civo Nets in Mpico Top 8 Netball tournament
Mpico Top 8 Defending Champions, Blue Eagles Sister are through to the final and are up against their City rivals, Civo Nets in the final of 2017 K25 million Mpico Top 8 Netball tournament at Gateway Mall netball court in Lilongwe.
The teams have a set a repeat of last year’s finals in which Blue Eagles won after beating Civo Nets and the winner will pocket K2 million and the loser will take home K1 million.
The lady Civil servants will be aiming to revenge last year’s defeat and grab the trophy for first time.
Civo Nets beat Salima based women soldiers, Mafco Soldiers by 30 baskets to 16 in the first semi final.
The second semi final saw the reigning Champions, Blue Eagles silencing Green Sisters by 42 baskets to 22.
Green Sisters will face Mafco Soldiers in the third place play off.
According to results Lioness are fifth, Boma Stars are sixth, Dowa Police are seventh and Kasungu Municipality is on the bottom position eighth.
