Brown Mpinganjira marries again

Malawi’s firebrand politician Brown James (BJ) Mpinganjira has tied the knot with his sweetheart Harriet Moyo at a Sunnyside, commercial city Blantyre last weekend.

This is Mpinganjira’s third walk down the aisle.

The wedding was officiated by controversial Mzuzu-based Prophet Shephard Bushiri of Enlightened Christian Gathering Church.

Mpinganjira himself is now an evangelist-cum-politician.

The veteran politician had several famous guests over at his nuptials, some of which included the country’s vice president Joyce Banda, leader of People’s Party which Mpinganjira is treasurer general.

A private wedding reception for close friends and relations took place in the evening near Moneymen Club in Blantyre.

Mpinganjira had wedded Babra Kalua who looked after him when he was detained by dictator Kamuzu Banda at Mikuyu Prison and has children together.

He dumped her when he was an influential minister in the Bakili Muluzi government to marry former deputy minister Liz Lossa, ending her stable marriage relationship.

Liz and Mpinganjira relationship nose-dived after he failed the presidential bid in 2004. She left for United States.
