In the wake of the win, the Peoples Team now sit at number six with 7 points from 4 games .

On the other hand, Tawonga Malenga scored for Blantyre United.

The visiting team had a bright start as they put their hosts under pressure from the first whistle.

Munthali scored for Bullets in the 21st minute, before veteran Fischer Kondowe netted the second goal in the 46th minute.

However, Bullets relaxed thinking recess time was on their door step before Blantyre United surprised them with a 47th minute goal courtesy of Tawonga Malenga.

Come second half, Bullets tried to dominate the proceedings, but their striking force was blunt and this forced their coach to replace Munthali for Muhammad Sulumba.

The 67th minute saw Duncan Mkandawire called to produce a fine save as he parried the ball away from danger to deny Kondowe from claiming his second goal.

Blantyre United bounced back with more hunger in the 70th minute as Brown Mizeyi rounded two defenders before shooting wide.

The loss for Blantyre United leaves them occupying thirteen spot with 5.

Red Lions are basking on the top slot after Sunday’s 3-0 victory to Blue Eagles at Balaka Stadium.

The Zomba based soldiers have 11 points from 5 games.

Chitipa United anchors the table with a single point from 5 games.

Is this a sign of good things to come for our beloved team? I hope so. The league is still in its early stages, there is still a chance to move up the ladder. But at the same time we need to remember that in the past it has happened many times that positions at the beginning of the league have been maintained to the end, so if we are going to move up the table, now is the time to do so. Sometimes the “Bullets Nkumadzulo” thing doesn’t work. Go Bullets go….now rather than later!
