Nasty and ugly face of violence  reared its head again at Kamuzu Stadium  on Saturday after wild Big Bullets supporters invaded the pitch  baying for the blood of the refreee as they went down 2-1 to Blantyre United in the TNM Super League match .

Immediately after the last whistle to mark the end of the first half, angry Bullets fans chased away three Stewarts on the main entrance into the field of play while throwing ‘missiles’ to the security men.

The supporters forced  the change of the referee in the second half, a thing which happened as another referee was handed the whistle to officiate the game.

The ‘People’s team’ supporters did not stop from there as they went on smashing TNM bill boards and chasing all  ‘ganyu’  fans  on their stand.

During the match, Blantyre United displayed  beuatiful football that Tudzobelo Kumwenda opened the score sheet for the commercial city when Bullets’ Yamikani Fodya failed to contain the slippery player.

Blantyre United, who are back on the summit of the league pressurized Bullets no wonder Brown Mizeya nailed the second nail on the Ndirande Township based out-fit.

In the second half of the game, Big Bullets could have scored a beauty but Robson’s Banda thunder shot hit the posts.

Blantyre United also popularly known as “ Mphembedzu” defended well until in the last minutes of the game as one of their defenders handled the ball in the 18 yard box resulting into a penalty which was converted by Robson Banda.

Coach Lawson Nakoma  said he was happy with the results by vowing  that Blantyre Uited will maintain the top spot.

“We will try our best to win the rest of the matches because our chances to clinch the league are 100%,” he said, as Big Bullets technical panel led by coach Eddie Ng’onamo  refused to talk to reporters.

In the old capital city of Malawi, Zomba United came from behind to beat Azam Tigers 3-2.

The Kau-Kau boys were first to kiss the net through Issac Maluwa who scored a brace while Zomba united scored through Frank Kachali, Manase Chiyesa and Ndaona Limbani.

At Chitowe, in a soldier’s affair, Mafco fc and Cobbe Barracks shared  the spoils as they drew 1-1.

The Salima based out-fit were first open the score sheet through Osward  Mkagula before Dick Chirwa  equalised.

Big Bullets 1 vs Blantyre United 2 @ Kamuzu Stadium.

Zomba United 3 vs Azam Tigers 2 @ ZACC.

Mafco FC 1 vs Cobbe Barracks 1 @ Chitowe Stadium.
