Malawi champions Big Bullets Football Club has announced that the club will play a series of strength testing matches against two Mozambican top clubs Liga Malcumana and Liga Desportivo Muçulmana de Maputo as part of the preparations for the forth coming Confederation of African Football (CAF) club competition.
Bullets is set to meet a Comoros Island side Fomboni Club de Moheil in the opening match of the preliminary rounds first league away in February 2015.
The dates for the friendly matches are yet to be announced.
According to the club General Secretary Harold Fote, Bullets will play Liga Desportivo Muçulmana de Maputo on two occasions.
“We will play Liga Desportivo Muçulmana de Maputo in Blantyre and another match in Lilongwe,” said Fote.
He also announced the good news that the players will have something to fight for as Bantley Company has come forward to support with a whooping K2 million which will be up for grab.
Meanwhile, Bullets F.C are at the verge of missing the deadline of registering extra players with the Caf following the hiccups the club is facing to rope in the players they targeted.
Fote blamed clubs of respective targeted players for barring the players.
“It is indeed true that we haven’t registered the other players we have been looking for because of their clubs. The players were open enough but their clubs blocked them and we suggest it is high time the clubs let the players go and charge us” said Fote.
