Bushiri splashes K11million to Malawi young entrepreneurs

South Africa-based Malawian prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) has given 11 million kwacha to 22 Malawian youths to help them in their entrepreneurship.

This follows after a motivational conversation the ‘Major 1’  had with the youths on his BushiriBuzz,  a mobile social network application similar to world’s most popular messaging app –  WhatsApp.

The young people had requested his time and he gave it willingly, answering questions and offering directions to them.

The group is called Friends Connect.

The money has been shared in equals of K500.000 each.

Bushiri, a billionaire who has businesses under the Prophet Shepherd Bushiri (PSB) Investments, says he  believes the youths are essential in the growth and development of their communities and the nation at large.

In his statememt to the youth,  he advised them to keep working hard and make sure they leave no stone unturned.

He also advised them on respecting the rule and deal in legit businesses.

In conclusion, he preached to then and encouraged them to accept Jesus as their personal saviour.

The 22 are from different backgrounds ranging from musicians, entrepreneurs, business persons who Bushiri recognized to have potential in their fields.

Sources say Bushiri constantly recieves questions from Malawian youths on how to improve their well being and financial status however the countrys financial situation is not conducive.

Malawi has an estimated population of 17 million people with the youth making up a larger percentage.

One of the reciepient of the money, Bright Chiligo says the money will help him in building up his business venture.

“This is an investment for me. I will use this money to prop up my business”

The musician, entrepreneur, a recent graduate from University of Malawi says he is grateful for being recognized as one of the Malawian youths who are productive and making progressive moves in the country.

He adds: “As a youthful person doing something productive it is hard to be listened to and given financial help. We are sidelined but what Bushiri has done is a move towards a great Malawi”

Bushiri is expected to join the young Malawians again on the group next week where he will spend over 2 hours discussing entrepreneurship and investments with more young people across the country.

This will be done on his BushiriBuzz.
