Catholic Church media in Malawi features Prophet Bushiri: ‘Mission to preach’

In a rare show of religious tolerance, Catholic Church funded Montfort Media has given Prophet Shepherd Bushiri exclusive coverage in all its three nationwide print publications.

Balaka-based Montfort Media published the prestigious monthly Lamp Magazine, weekly Mkwaso Newspaper and monthly Together youth magazine.

In their September version, all these print publications have carried exclusive interview with Major 1 where he has come out unreserved on every issue regarding his ministry and him as a person.

Joseph Kayira, one of the editors of Lamp Magazine and the journalist who did the stories, said Prophet Bushiri is a figure who attracts public interest and it was only important for Montfort Media to carry his story.

The publications noted that Bushiri travels around the world spreading gospel.

Prophet Buhsiri  told the publication that he was born in a Muslim family but at the age of 9 while in a Muslim school, he was introduced to Jesus Christ by a a person he did not name.

“From that time, strange things started to happen to me. I changed from being a Muslim to a Christian. I strated seeing visions, seeing through the struggles of people…. I made prayer and fasting my routine. Since then my life  revolved around preaching, teaching, studying the Bible, performing deliverances and  bringing people to Jesus Christ,” he said.

Bushiri said the focus of this Enlighten Christian Gathering (ECG) ministry is to serve God and take souls to Him.

In the published interview, Bushiri said he has no time to be dignifiying his critics : “ I have a mission to preach the word [of God]. That is my preoccupation.”

The Catholic publication also quizzed Bushiri if he has ambitions to join politics in which he said , “no.”

Said Bushiri: “ I am comfortable and, at the same  time, heavily preoccupied with ministry work and, also, managing my business. No politics.”

Pressed to comment on other preachers joining politics, Bushiri said: “ I will always speak for myself. Not other men of God.”

Prophet Bushiri publicist Ephraim Nyondo in an interview with Nyasa Times,  hailed Montfort Media for the coverage describing it as a giant stride in Malawi’s level of religious tolerance.

That’s Major 1!!! The mission is to depopulate hell and make heaven full. Instead of engaging in unnecessary arguments, Major 1 is inviting all Born Again Christians to preach the gospel without compromise. For those that are not interested, Major 1 says, it is well. We shall soldier on, until the whole world is reached with the beautiful gospel of our Master, the LORD KING JESUS.

Could this be termed as religious tolerance? What and how does it mean to Catholics? In short, they mean that they are the same. Catholics can go and attend Bushiri Prayers.
This is the meaning of these propagations! When people say all churches are the same??????????????????????????????? At the Adventist we can not do that. In the process of accepting all, you water down your own faith.
