Coaches committee ushers in new Central Region executive
Central Region coaches on Saturday went into polls at Lilongwe Community Centre ground to elect new office bearers who will serve their respective positions in the next three years.
Civo Service United team manager and assistant coach Dave Chirwa is the new boss after beating Dave Mpima by 18-6 votes to become chairman.
Chirwa who has replaced Benjamin Kumwenda will be deputised by Martin Ng’onamo who got more votes ahead of George Zulu and Feston Kanongola.
Christopher Sibole is the new General Secretary replacing Blue Eagles Coach Deklerk Msakakuona did not contest since he is having another position in the national coaches committee.
Mulius Pofera was elected vice secretary after massively beating Audrew Makonyola 21-3.
The position of treasure has been reclaimed by Gilbert Ng’onamo who will be assisted by Joseph Malizani.
The list of executive committee members include Epac coach Abbas Makawa, Mike Mhango, Alick Chirwa and Falayi Kafanikhale.
Msakakuona said he is confident that the new committee will deliver positive results and live to people’s expectations.
