Courts grants bail to suspects in tollgate scam
The Senior Resident Magistrate Court in Lilongwe has granted bail to four suspects in tollgate scam accused of stealing K10 million from Kalinyeke Tollgate.
The employees are accused of fraud and false accounting. 
Delivering her ruling, Senior Resident Magistrate Florence Msekandiana, said the State has failed to provide evidence that the accused persons will interfere with investigations.
The suspects are alleged to have swindled About K10 million between February and March 2022.
The suspects who are also on suspension from the Roads Fund Administration include; Gedson Dziwani (26) of Kuyenda village, T/A Makwangwala in Ntcheu, Benson Kamphani (26), of Thawe village, T/A Mwadzama in Nkhotakota, Vincent Chiteyeye (27) of Chiphaso village, T/A Kaomba in Kasungu and David Chihana (29) of Livingstonia village, T/A Chikulamayembe in Rumphi District.
