Covid-19 vaccine hoax disrupt classes in Kasungu, Police fired teargas

Primary school learners around Kasungu municipal town, on Thursday flocked to the streets protesting against alleged Covid-19 vaccine.

The pupils on streets during the protests

The learners said a group of health officials visited their campuses preparing for the Covid-19 vaccine exercise.

However, after being tipped by their teachers, all learners decided to go the street where they were chanting anti-Covid-19 songs.

Police officers intervened by firing teargas in order to disperse them.

Speaking to the media, director of education in the district, Anderson Mtandika while describing the development as worrisome said his office is yet to find out who told the learners such message.

Kasungu district health spokesperson Catherine Yoweli denied to have deployed officers to conduct Covid-19 vaccine exercise to any places.

Yoweli also said that the hospital has no Covid-19 vaccine and that they don’t have information if the country have it or not.

But people of God just make sure you wash your mask before putting it on, especially these donated masks, you never know, the might be already infected, before you know it, you already have it. Same with sanitizers, soap is better cause you know it’s lifebouy from the packet.

Sad development, all these years you had BCG, Polio etc etc vaccines. Did you question where it came from or what was in it? Just because you have internet full of idiots coming up with silly ideas and you easily fall for it. The flu vaccines are given every flu season in developed countries and they change them every year without problem. Sit back and relax because your government can not afford the vaccines at the moment, rich countries pre-ordered them and they will be back to normality while we will be dying because of ignorance. Even normal paracetamol you… Read more »

It’s history repeating itself, pupils were also running away from getting vaccinated in those days. There were also hoax messages like these, no strange thing.
