Ex-Chevening scholar dates Lilongwe University of Agriculture with professional writing skills

hevening scholar alumnus, Chimwemwe Manyozo, this weekend dates the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) for a talk on how they can achieve in professional writing to seize opportunities.

Taking professional writing skills to colleges

During the training dubbed ‘Stand Out’, Manyozo who will be accompanied by Gloria Masula of Youth to Youth Empowerment, will teach how to develop outstanding CVs and cover letters.

The training, Manyozo told Nyasa Times, will be held in the Aquaculture Lecture Theatre at the campus.

He said he will be taking the initiative to other universities too because most young people in the country lack the knowledge on the topics to excel and stand out.

“When I was in college I was not taught about these things but I have realized that they are very important skills to have,” said Manyozo, adding that that was the reason he wanted to share the knowledge with college-going students.

During the training, which is going to be free, Manyozo said he will also equip students with skills in development of personal or motivational statements.

“Students should expect an interactive session and get home with powerful knowledge that will help them sooner than later,” he said.
