Football Assosiciation of Malawi (FAM) have confirmed dates and venues for the highly anticipated Carlsberg Cup Quarterfinal matches.
The games will be played on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13 August 2017.
Holders Mighty Be Forward Wanderers travel to Lilongwe on Saturday to face Blue Eagles in a match staged at Civo Stadium.
This will be a repeat of last year’s Fisd Cup quarterfinal which the Nomads won 1-0 courtesy of a Bongani Kaipa loan strike.
The other quarterfinal match on Saturday will involve Moyale Barracks and second tier side Michiru Madrid.
The game will be played at the Mzuzu Stadium in the Northern City of Mzuzu.
Come Sunday, another lower division side Kasungu Police from the centre come face to face with Zomba based soldiers Red Lions at the Civo Stadium.
Finally, Nyasa Big Bullets takes on Southern Region Football League Premier Division side Cobbe Barracks at the Balaka Stadium.
At this far, Michiru Madrid remains a big threat amongst all the teams from the lower league after they booted out two Super League Clubs.
FAM Competitions Manager Gomezgani Zakazaka said as organisers, they are happy with the proceedings especially the performance of teams from lower league who have reached an advanced stage.
