Favoured Martha takes ‘Mawa limafika’ album launch to Zomba Robins Park
After successfully launching ‘Mawa limafika’ album at Robins Park in Blantyre last Sunday, Blantyre based gospel songbird Favoured Martha will on Sunday,28th October re-launch the album at Robins Park Hall in Zomba before she goes to Lilongwe on 25 November.
Recorded at Studio 88 by Khumbo Kaliwo and Evance Meleka,the 10 track album which has songs like Mawa limafika, Muchedwelanji, Pa Umunthu and Mbuye wa ambuye is currently enjoying airplay in different local radio stations.
Speaking in an interview Favoured Martha said she has done all the necessary preparations to make the event very colorful.
According to Favoured Martha, apart from launching the album, the events have been organized as part of celebrating the healing from God.
“I have seen God taking care of my life during my sickness, when the world thought I am gone, God sent his angels to protect me, therefore I will take this opportunity to also thank him for his mercy and healing touch” ,she said
In terms of music, the artist added “All those that have a taste of good music will experience fireworks. We have done massive rehearsals and I will give the best performance,” he said
She also described the album as one of its kind saying it was patiently crafted fusing traditional dances in some of the songs like ndampeza and wosunga Lonjezo.
Artist lined up to support Favoured Martha during the show include Princess Chitsulo, Dr. Ethel Kamwendo, Shammah Vocals, Evance Meleka, Great Angels Choir, Gloria Manong’a, Thoko Katimba and Peter Mlangeni among others.
In separate interviews both Peter Mlangeni and Ethel Kamwendo have confirmed saying they are more that prepared to give people in Zomba maximum entertainment.
Slated to start at 1 O’clock in the afternoon, the event will attract an entry fee of K2 000 per head.
