Mhango was speaking ahead of Tuesday night’s Flames second Group B match against Mauritius to be played at the Independence stadium.

The striker was in top form last Sunday against Angola scoring a hat trick that earned him a man of the match accolade which goes away with a $250 prize money.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic forward who was on loan at Golden Arrows last season said he feels happy to have scored his first ever hat trick for the Flames as well as being voted man of the match.

“I feel very happy because it is my first time to be voted man of the match while playing for Flames as well as to score a hat trick while in national colours,” said Mhango.

He further urged Malawians fully rally behind the team as a lot more good things are yet to come.

“I will work hard to score in every game to become the top goal scorer. With the help of my team mates, I am confident that we can achieve more here at Cosafa” he said.

Meanwhile, Mhango is the leading scorer at the 2016 Cosafa Castle Cup Edition with three goals.

He is followed by Felix Baden horst of Swaziland who has two goals to his credit.

Claudel Fanomenza (Madagascar), Jeremea Kamela (Lesotho), Sera Motebang (Lesotho), Ronald Pfumbidzai (Zimbabwe), Obadia Tarumbwa (Zimbabwe) and Jane Thaba-Ntso have a goal each.

Towards the start of this year’s Cosafa tournament, Mhango was named by Cosafa as among the top 10 best players to watch.
