The Flames play their second game against Mauritius tonight (Tuesday) at the independence stadium.

Flames and Lesotho tie on points at the top of Group B with three points after registering victories against  Angola and Lesotho respectively.

Flames won 3-0 against youthful Angola while Lesotho thump Mauritius by the same goal margin.

Speaking ahead of the Mauritius encounter, Mtawali confirmed he will not make any changes to his first eleven he featured against Angola and promised Malawians a better result.

“We are starting with the team that beat Angola” said Mtawali in an interview with a local radio on Tuesday morning from Namibia.

He said during Monday’s training session, he focused much on finishing after noticing that during the Angola game, the team created several scoring opportunities but failed to convert them into goals.

Charles Swini will man the posts while Harry Nyirenda, Miracle Gabeya, Stanly Sanudi and Francis Mlimbika will feature in defence.

Joseph Kamwendo and Rafiqq Namwera will be at the centre o the park while Isaac Kaliyati and Gerald Papa Junior will operate from the left and right flanks.

Stand in captain Chiukepo Msowoya and Gabadinho Mhango will partner upfront.

Mhango started the Cosafa campaign on a high note after scoring a hat trick.

Meanwhile, Malawi government through the Minister of Sports Grace Obama Chiumia have congratulated Malawi for winning their opening match.

Chiumia said they expect the team to do better and qualify to the next round of the competition.

One top team from each group will qualify to the quarterfinals.
