The two giants Kukoma Diamonds and Tigresses will sort each other out in what many pundits have dubbed it ‘huge Blantyre derby’.

Diamonds are topping the log table with 45 points, while Tigresses are coming second with 42 points, but the league is for Diamonds to lose.

Coach for Diamonds Griffin Saenda has vowed to suffocate their opponents by insisting they are going for victory.

“We are not leaving any stone unturned because any victory against Tigresses means getting closer to the title. We are fully prepared and every player is eager for the game,” said Saenda.

He said after grabbing the Airtel Money and Presidential Cup their focus now is to win the title.

“We want to sweep any cup in the country. We have Airtel and Presidential already, and our next big thing is to win the Rainbow Paints,” he said.

Saenda will be beaming with confidence as he has enough weapons in Jessica Sanudi, Alinafe Kamwala, Bridget Kumwenda, Towera Vinkhumbo and Shiera Dimba.

On the other side, Tigresses coach Peace Kaluwa cannot be underrated as she has also skilful and experienced players in Sindi ‘Sniper’ Simutowe, Beatrice Mpinganjira and Enelesi Chibokho.

In other games, Thunder Queens will take on Alliance Capital Stars, while Chilomoni Sisters takes on Shizaella.

An early kick-off will involve Young Professionals against Gerald Tasaukadala.
