Humba swallows pride over FISD Wizards relegation

Outspoken Southern Region Football Association League chairman Raphael Humba has swallowed pride over FISD Wizzards relegation from Malawi’s top league Super League barely a season after their promotion.

After his election as chairman of the league Humba declared that no team promoted  from the Southern Region would not be relegated under his tenure of office.

He wax lyrical after SULOM Treasurer Tiya Somba Banda secured the now controversial Nsejjere Sports wear sponsorship.

“As far as I am the chairman of this league no team from this region will be relegated which means by the time my tenure ends four teams from will be promoted,” Humba said.

“I would like to see Southern Region to retain its status as the country’s football powerhouse not as it is whereby we are losing a team each season. This is weakening our region as the country’s oldest league.”

He was speaking in an apparent attack on his predecessor lawyer Trouble Kalua, who was relegated to the position of Vice-Chairman.

But the relegation of Wizards has poured scorn at the former Bullets Supporters Committee chairman renowned for being FAM President Walter Nyamilandu elections spin doctor over the years.

He has also eaten a humble pie over Nsejjere K10 million sponsorship for the league and Countrywide Car Hire K8 million sponsorship Cup.

Point of correction: He has been Nyamilandu’s chola boy not spin doctor. The guy does not even have a JCE, speaks broken English, behaves like a salvage… so how can he be a spin doctor. Humba cannot be in the ranks of Ntaba, Humphrey Mvula etc.
